Because there is no Planet B!

We want to minimise the environmental damage and effect we have on the world and leave the world in a better place than how we found it.

Things we do at Language Tree to reduce the impact we have on the environment...

Recycling and Upcycling

Ink Recycling

Printers are a great resource: whether that's for printing extra materials for class or promotional posters. In order to facilitate this, we subscribe to an ink programme where all ink cartridges are sent back after use to be refilled and reused.

Paper Recycling

We only use sustainable, recycled paper at Language Tree. We also provide recycling facilities for paper (as well as card, glass, plastics and metals) with each bin clearly labelled.

Course Books

By providing all students with a course book, we are reducing the need for photocopying materials in class.

Beach cleans with Beach Guardian

Beach Guardian is a fantastic charity based in Cornwall focused on cleaning our wonderful coastal environment and educating people about the issues associated with plastic waste in our marine environment. Whenever we can, we take our student groups on beach cleans with Beach Guardian.

In the classroom

And finally, of course, we embed environmental issues into our classroom teaching.

Through discussing these key issues that affect us all, we can share ideas and encourage each other to strive to make the world a cleaner and more sustainable place for us all to live safely and happily.
